Bushfire Protections Shutters
Protect Your Home and Family from Bushfires
As more Australians seek a better lifestyle by moving to country and semi-rural areas, our expanding urban developments are bringing more homes closer to wooded and high-vegetation zones. This makes bushfire protection increasingly essential for homeowners across Australia.
With the recent bushfire devastation impacting several states, it’s crucial to prioritize the safety of Australian families and their homes. Effective bushfire protection measures are now more important than ever.
In response to the rising need for bushfire safety, the Bushfire Construction Standard AS3959-2009 has been established, setting out minimum building and construction standards for homes in bushfire-prone areas. Protect your home and family by staying informed and taking proactive steps to meet these standards.

Scientifically Tested Fire Protection
The FireSafe Bushfire Rated Roller Shutter has undergone rigorous testing to ensure optimal safety. In November 2009, the CSIRO tested our shutters at their specialized facility in NSW (Report #FSZ1379). For Australian building regulations, the FireSafe Roller Shutter achieved a Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) of A40 when fully closed.
During testing, the shutters and their components were exposed to extreme radiant heat levels of up to 40 kW/m² to replicate conditions of a bushfire attack, including radiant heat and small flaming sources. FireSafe shutters passed all performance tests, proving their effectiveness in protecting homes from bushfires.
